Who's doing the right thing

I bookmarked this one the other day, but didn't get a chance to comment on it. Matt Shurie hits all the right points. The Liberals, with a weak leader and a tax and spend program masquerading as an environmental initiative don't deserve another chance at this riding.

Who's doing the right thing?

Guelphites have been without federal representation since Brenda Chamberlain's retirement April 7. However, ask anyone in the know and they'll tell you the riding lacked any real leadership for many months before that date.

Perhaps even more bizarre is the fact that Chamberlain, who refused to fulfil her role while being paid a tidy sum by taxpayers, has quietly emerged in the current byelection campaign serving as campaign co-chair for Frank Valeriote.

During the opening of Valeriote's campaign office last week it was Chamberlain who proclaimed her support for the Liberal candidate: "I am proud to support Frank Valeriote wholeheartedly; he is a strong voice for Guelph."

An impressive endorsement from someone who clearly understands what it is to be a silent voice for the people.
