A funny thing happened on the way to the Green Shift

I know Frank Valeriote was initially against the Green Shift, flip-flop, and now he's for it, but you think he would at least include a quote from party leader Stephane Dion in his literature extolling the virtues of the Liberal's latest tax and spend program.

Instead, we find a quote from none other than Al Gore, he who invented the internet and generates enough greenhouse gas at home to equal TWELVE average American families. Gore does make a sort of kindred spirit to use on the Liberal literature piece, as they have something in common. Neither of them did anything on the environment while in power. Birds of a feather, as they say.

Is Frank too embarrassed about his leaders plan, performance or both to include him in his flyer? Was Michael Ignatieff or Bob Rae too busy to lend a quote or two to the piece?

PS. Look real close at the "Benefits" section of Frank's description of the Green Shift. See if you can find any mention of the single biggest benefit most Canadians would expect from a Green Plan expected to cost them $15 billion dollars - THE AMOUNT OF GREENHOUSE GAS TO BE REDUCED!

If the voters in Guelph, St.Lambert, Westmount vote Liberal, that means they want another federal general election in 3 weeks ... because a vote of confidence in Dion encourages him to defeat the government and thus precipitate a general election starting in September.
