I blogged the other day about a post I found online claiming to have smeared red paint all over the John Galt statue on Monday, John Galt Day.
Magda, from the Mercury replied that although the statue wasn't currently painted, they would check into it.
Apparently it did happen. Guelph police are investigating.
Kudos to Magda on the follow-up and to City Staff, who obviously had this cleaned up very quickly.
To the so-called "anarchists" who did this - most protesters at least have the courage of their convictions to stick around and pay the price for their actions. Your "paint bomb" stunt is nothing more then petty crime.
